Wrong Number, Right Guy (Elle Casey) #Resenha

The Bourbon Street Boys – volume 01

Jenny’s my rock. The shoulder I can Always lean on. But making the move of coming here to be near her didin´t magically send the baggage I’ve been carrying around p to the artic. The specters of my family’s past still follow me, still haunt me, still influence the way I fell about myself, my life and every single guy I come into contact with in a romantic way. It’s really pretty pitiful, actualy.

“I was thinking tha event though it seemed wrong at the start, and you seemed wrong at the start with that horrible beard and all, things turned out pretty good in retrospect”.

The Bourbon Street Boys – book 01

When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, she’s nowhere to be found and May is the one in trouble—she’s wearing pink espadrilles, she’s got a Chihuahua in her purse, and she’s in the middle of a shootout.
After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the night—and the offer of a job. But it’s not long before a gun-toting stalker isn’t the only complication in May’s life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that they’ve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this mess…Will it also get her the right guy?

May Wexler is the kind of girl who knows what she wants, a childhood and adolescence not very easy made her and her sister became extremely close, and the safe haven of each other. May photographing is not having financial success due to the crisis and the low number of weddings, everything changes when one night she gets a mixed message of SOS of her older sister, and the world of May turned upside down.

Confused about what might have taken her sister and children at a biker bar, May part in a rescue mission that turns out completely different than planned. May now could be in danger, and must trust a stranger with a horrible beard to help her. And perhaps in the midst of all this, find a new purpose for his life and profession.

Anyone who has read any my review about one of the author's books, knows that I LOVE her writing, and endearing characters that the author creates, so the expectation for this book was very high, and well ... once again Elle excelled and created an incredible book, with characters who speak their minds and adding content to the book, the author doesn’t put any character who was there by chance or without a purpose.

“I was thinking tha event though it seemed wrong at the start, and you seemed wrong at the start with that horrible beard and all, things turned out pretty good in retrospect”.

May always speaks what’s on her mind and is somewhat impulsive, and later she realizes the consequences, but in important moments she takes a deep breath and think about the possibilities, and with regard to Ozzie the possibilities are endless, she is the kind character that appeals to almost everyone around her. In contrast, Ozzie is reserved and authoritarian in the security work, he will do everything to solve the problems that appear ahead, even if he has to fight some of your instincts.

Elle Casey has a versatile and innovative writing every written book, so I barely can’t wait for the other books in this series. Wrong Number, Right Guy starts The Bourbon Street Boys series, and this book showed that the boys turn to stay with a blend of action, romance, and adventure book promises to please many readers.

  5. AI, QUE CHIQUE ESSA RESENHA! Haha.
